Biography: Esther was charged with having stolen, at Liverpool, thirty-two bank notes, the property of Joseph Pickering. She was a chambermaid.
Esther was sent to Parramatta on arrival. In 1816 and 19 she was recorded as being both a servant and married to George Wright. However, this was her husband back home. Esther had remarried the year following her arrival in January 1815 at St Mathews Windsor to John Byrne.
Esther collected her certificate of freedom in 1825. By the point she was 41, and described as being a native of Belfast. She was 5ft 2, with a sallow complexion and brown hair going grey with greeny blue eyes. Also this year she was recorded as living at Windsor, the wife of J Boyes (Byrne). Neither of them show on the musters from this point onwards.
