Biography: Ann had been born in Liverpool. She was 5ft tall with a pale complexion, brown eyes and dark brown hair. She had stolen from John Spencer and others along with Jane Jones, Catherine Forshaw and Ann’s husband Thomas. All three were sentenced to transportation, although Jane was the only one of the three women who was. Instead, after being kept at Lancaster for six months, Ann was sent to Millbank jail in London on the 19th May 1821. There, she was described as being ‘of good character’. Ann was pardoned and discharged from Millbank on the 29th April 1824, after having been held along with Catherine on the prison hospital ship, Heroine.
