Biography: Sarah had stolen a linen shirt and other articles, the property of Samuel Butterworth.

Soon after arrival in August 1796, Sarah, aged 25 (probably actually around 35), married Samuel Garside (also Gearside/Gartside (ship- Pitt) at St Philips in Sydney and they had a son, also Samuel in July 1798. Sarah would have been free by January 1800. In 1821 they were granted land at Prospect and in 1822 Samuel and Sarah saw their son marry (also a Sarah)

Sarah was widowed in 1824 but continued to live and farm with her adult son and his wife at Richmond and she was marked similarly in 1825 and 1828 (when she was recorded as aged 67). She passed away in November 1834 and was buried at St Peters Anglican Cemetery. She was recorded as aged 77 at her death (possibly more around 73).
