Biography: Mary was a single woman of Liverpool who had stolen from Andrew Browne, a linen merchant. Her story is very unclear with two distinct options. She was employed as a housekeeper to a Robert Luke(?) at Sydney in 1816 and the 1817, 1820 and 21 musters record her as single, a servant and as a housekeeper. However, other records suggest she died, aged 28 on the 6th November 1816 within the St Philips parish and was buried four days later in the Old Sydney Burial Ground.
