Biography: Elizabeth had pick pocketed money at Manchester from a John Donnely(?). She was from Pendleton, Salford but had been born in London. She was described as a weaver, 5ft 1 tall with a sallow complexion, dark brown hair, brown eyes and a turned up nose. She had a blue spot (tattoo) on the inside of her lower left arm. She was married to a soldier.
Elizabeth was sent to Millbank jail in London- she may have got into a fight or been injured en-route from Lancaster to London as she had a cut on her left eye on arrival there. In Millbank she was noted as being ‘of good character’ but that she was single on arrival so perhaps separated from her soldier husband. Elizabeth was pardoned and discharged on the 24th May 1824 after being recommended for a pardon as she had ‘been very conducted and had friends to receive her’. Prior to her release, she had been held on the prison hulk ‘Narcissus’ during Millbank’s epidemic of 1823/4.
