Biography: Elizabeth, a married bobbin winder from Manchester had uttered a counterfeit shilling to Emil Adams at Manchester having been convicted of the same crime before. She had a death sentence reprieved and in jail was described as ‘a very old offender’ but in good health. She was issued a free pardon in 1824.
