Biography: Ann had 32 forged £1 notes in her possession at Ardwick, Manchester and uttered one of these there. She received a death sentence which was commuted to life transportation.

Ann received a full pardon in May 1810.

It isn’t easy to see what happened to Ann after this time though there is a record for an Ann Neale/Neil on Aeolus who was in a common law relationship with Edward Neal/Neil (Atlas) at Parramatta, no marriage record but marked as widowed by 1821; this same Ann is marked as a free woman on the 1811 muster.
