Biography: Ann stole a crown piece. She was described in jail in 1824 as ‘born in Manchester, fresh complexion, hazel eyes, sandy hair, has a large scar on her forehead, right side and a small one on the left. Tattooed ‘I+A’ and ‘TFDM’ on left and right arm, ears pierced. Has been in the New Bailey three months. Her third conviction, single, a weaver. Currently sick’.
Ann was sent on to Millbank jail in London in November 1824- where she was described as having an ‘indifferent’ character whilst in jail at Lancaster. However, her conduct had been ‘very good’ at Millbank and ‘with having respectable friends who would receive her’, she was pardoned and discharged from there on the 5th June 1827.
