Biography: Isabella along with Ann Wilson stole 12 1/2 yards of Irish linen cloth in the shop of Hannah Foster at Manchester valued at £1, 17s, 6d. They were described as notorious shop lifters and Isabella had already served a jail sentence in 1802.

In NSW, Isabella was recorded as a needlewoman. She got her certificate of freedom in November 1813 and at this time was described as 5 ft 2 with a fair complexion, brown hair, dark brown eyes and warts on her right arm from elbow. In 1816 and 1818, she was simply remarked as ‘single’. In 1822 and 1825 she was recorded as the wife of Thomas Wright or White who had come free (ship- Frederick) at Sydney, though no marriage records have been found. By 1828, now 45 she was a servant to explorer and landowner George McLeay at Camden but whether or not still with Thomas is uncertain. After this time, records of Isabella vanish.
