Biography: Ann, who was convicted of breaking into and stealing from the house of Millicent Hunt, was a weaver, born in Bolton and was single. She may well have been the same Ann Kirkman who had just completed a two year jail sentence in 1819 for stealing bank notes. She was sent to Millbank jail in London. There, she was described as being 5ft 4 1/2 with brown hair, a fair complexion, blue eyes and was of good character. She was pardoned and discharged on the 19th September 1823.
