Biography: Margaret was the wife of John Jones of Manchester. She had stolen clothing belonging to Jane Breeze at Manchester she was sent on to Preston’s House of Correction in February 1805 along with Ann Barlow, Peggy Marsh and Margaret Edwards. A bill exists in Lancashire Archives for the expenses of conveying them 22 miles from Lancaster to Preston. They all received pardons and were freed soon after.
