Biography: Ann stole four pieces of printed calico, totalling 59 yards from a shop at Manchester belonging to Hugh Bennett and Joseph Benton along with Mary Lees. Ann and Mary (who were possibly sisters), along with eight other women from the castle were taken to the ship moored at Spithead (315 miles) from Lancaster Castle in July; a receipt exists for this transaction at a cost of £15 5′ per woman.
Ann married Patrick Geary of the NSW Invalid Company (Veterans) in 1810 but her time in NSW was brief; Ann died in November 1812, aged 38 and was buried at the Old Sydney Burial Ground.
