Biography: Sarah and another man, James Robinson, had stolen a cow at Manchester belonging to a James Croom . She had a death sentence reprieved on condition of transportation.

In New South Wales her name appears to be amended to Franklin, which may have been her actual name. She very quickly settled with James Byrne (ship- Anne) and they had a large family with at least nine children, saw out their sentences becoming free by servitude and living and farming at Appin. Remarkably, all but one of her children lived into their 70s and 80s. James passed away in 1849 and Sarah just a few years later in 1853 at Goulburn, aged around 66. She was buried at Ryansvale Cemetery, Springfield, Goulburn.
