Biography: Catherine, a widow from Liverpool had stolen from a Thomas Webster. She was transferred to Preston’s House of Correction in 1818 as demolition work was beginning on the dungeon tower where female convicts awaiting transportation were kept at Lancaster Castle. She received a pardon and was discharged 28th November 1820.
