Biography: Rose stole three shawls and one remnant of print at Manchester. She had been born at Kildare near Dublin and was described as having a sallow complexion, brown eyes, dark brown hair and a scar under her right ear. Her husband Thomas Daley lives at Bank Top, Manchester and she had been convicted twice already.

In Hobart she was sent to trial (though acquitted) of stealing two bed sheets in 1829. She received her certificate of freedom in 1830 and afterwards received several fines for drunkenness. Her death at the (colonial) hospital was recorded in February 1849 from heart failure and that she was ‘a pauper’.
