Biography: Eleanor (also Ellen) was the wife of Robert Challenor of Manchester. She had only just completed a three year jail sentence in solitary confinement in 1806 before shoplifting from Margaret Rawdon and Ann Thompson’s shop. Eleanor received a ticket of leave in February 1811. She appears on the 1814 muster at Windsor as single.
