Biography: Ann was caught uttering at Manchester with a forged £1 note, having two others in her possession. She was a weaver from Newchurch, Rossendale and was married with four children. She was described as 5ft tall with dark hair, dark brown eyes, weak eyesight, a dark complexion and was of good character. Ann was sent to Millbank Penitentiary in London in November 1820 and died there on the 13th March 1823; she was buried in the prison’s burial ground two days after.
