Biography: Catherine was a widow from Liverpool. She had two prior convictions for theft.

She was initially sent to work as a servant for Sir John Jamison in Sydney who was a navy surgeon and landholder, arriving with her on the Broxbornebury. She married fellow convict Williams Way (ship- Admiral Gambier) at St John’s Parramatta in 1822. They both earned their certificates of freedom and together, farmed a large area of land at Kissing Point/Goulburn as well as William acting as the local poundkeeper and constable.

Catherine died, aged 66 at Goulburn in 1846.
