Biography: Alice was the wife of William Buckley. She stole linen cloth at Manchester. Alice had a family and left her older children behind but travelled with a 1 year old daughter, also called Alice. In Australia, she married Jacob Williams at Parramatta in 1818 and they had two children.By 1825, Alice was now recorded as being the wife of William Maddox and had had a further child with him. She died in 1847 and is buried at St Patrick’s Cemetery.
