Biography: Ann stole two pieces of printed cotton from a shop at Wigan belonging to D McClure along with three others (Mary Dolan, Hannah Fagan and Isabella Vickers). They all had death sentences reprieved. Ann came onboard ship with her son Henry.
Ann was a housekeeper. She went on to marry James Bowler (ship- Duke of Portland) at St Johns Parramatta in 1810 and they had twins that same year and went onto have two further children together at Liverpool and also successfully petitioned for a reduction in her sentence in 1817. Ann was widowed by 1819. In March the following year, Ann received permission to remarry Richard Kippas (ship- Mariner) at Liverpool but it doesn’t appear that any marriage took place. Ann passed away on the 15th September 1826, aged 42 and was buried in the Devonshire Street Cemetery, later re interred at the Bunnerong Cemetery, now renamed the Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park.
